Ms. Muñoz is a seasoned family law attorney who has been practicing family law exclusively since 2001. She will provide you the right amount of zealous advocacy and practical negotiation. Ms. Muñoz understands her cases are about the human element of families, children and your life. Every case is unique and requires a special element of her, which she will put forth. She understands it is a stressful time in your life, and can be a blow to you financially and emotionally. Each time she enters a courtroom, she knows the stakes can sometimes be high. She will offer calm assurance while advocating on your behalf.
Ms. Muñoz grew up in South County. She dreamed of being an attorney her entire life. She maintained her motivation by observing court hearings as a teenager, working in law libraries and watching courtroom dramas. During her undergraduate years at the University of San Diego, she maintained three jobs while working toward her degree in Psychology. After securing full time work, she began her law school career at Thomas Jefferson School of Law attending night school while working in the daytime. In law school, she was selected to be part of the school’s Moot Court and Mock Trial teams, obtaining awards in both. Ms. Muñoz earned the highest score in her Community Property class and was awarded the American Jurisprudence certificate. During law school, she clerked for several judges, interned at the Office of the Attorney General’s office and San Diego City Attorney’s office, as well as private law firms. After passing the bar exam in 2001, Ms. Muñoz began her legal career with Legal Aid Society of San Diego as a staff attorney at a family law clinic. Although she loved providing family law information, she desired to advocate, litigate and negotiate for her own clients, when necessary. In 2004, she opened her firm with the mission of providing clear and compassionate legal advice during all phases of family law proceedings. As an attorney, she continues to be active in her community. Ms. Muñoz is the President of the South Bay Bar association. She serves on the Board of Directors for the San Diego Family Law Bar Association. She serves as Pro Tem Judge at settlement conferences and serves on the Minors counsel panel representing children in high conflict cases. Ms. Muñoz has taught family law for Paralegals and continues to offer her time as a Pro Tem judge in traffic cases. She considers it an honor to be an attorney and to represent each and every one of her clients when so much is at stake.
Ms. Muñoz speaks, reads and writes fluently in Spanish. She accepts cases all over San Diego County including South Bay, Downtown, East County, Vista and other areas. She is married and has three children.
